[ That sort of doubt is healthy and entirely warranted when Mafuyu's plan is to hulk smash her way out of the room. But it's still the rest of the building left to traverse, even with her wrists and ankles bound to splinters that she shakes off the ends of the cuffs, picks wood out of her arms. ]
Oh- you got out too. I can karate chop your desk in half if you want.
[ On one hand: that sounds even crazier than what just happened, because desk v. door is one thing while desk v. hand is another. But on the other, what has she got to lose? Getting rid of the desk is probably her best shot at freedom. ]
If you think you can do it, give it a shot. I don't want this stupid thing, anyway!
[ She says "karate chop" but it's more like she lifts her leg up and drops it hard through the top of the desk, smashing it right in half without any warning whatsoever before the desk breaks and splinters fly everywhere, hopefully Kotone had closed her eyes and mouth. ]
[ Thankfully, her instinct is to flinch away from the dropkick to begin with, so she manages to avoid any splinters in too sensitive of areas. Though her arms are probably not quite as lucky.
It's only once all that seems to be over that she'll open her eyes, staring at the ruins of the desk. ]
[ Mafuyu never had any doubts that she could do it, but seeing somebody being surprised at her capabilities is always a treat, and she just laughs in response, pointing down the hall towards one of the other classrooms. ]
Got a secret escape route down here— follow me, and I'll get us out without any teachers catching us at the front entrance!
[ "Secret"... """escape route""" ... Kotone can be the judge of whether those are the right words to describe it, because Mafuyu slips inside one of the classrooms, heads straight for the window, rattles the handle on the sill and slides the glass to the side where a bright grey sky greets them. ]
We jump out here! [ So she says, foot outside the window and motioning Kotone to hurry up and follow.
It's the second story window. It's not that high. They'll be alright. ]
[ Two stories is only a little over ten feet; Mafuyu's jumped from much taller, be it from trees or swing sets, and from a much younger age, that she doesn't even consider it a danger as she leaps out the window and falls—-
nah, she doesn't actually fall. Outside the window is an overhang, evidenced by a clank of metal as she lands on top of the sloping surface, sliding a few inches before she gets a good grip with her shoes. They'll still have to jump the 10 feet down, but Kotone can lower herself slowly from the overhang and drop only five or so feet, maybe? Or, ]
I can jump down first and then catch you. How about that?
[ She's just an inch over five feet herself, but if she can karate chop a desk like it's nothing, she can catch a person just as easily. ]
[ The overhang there does make it a little less scary, at least. It's still pretty high up, but if she can go down slowly rather than taking one big leap, maybe it won't hurt as much? She doesn't want to hold Mafuyu back when the other girl's clearly having no issues with the physicality. But her offer might be the safest way. ]
...Yeah, okay. That probably wouldn't be too bad.
[ If Mafuyu thinks she can do it, Kotone has no reason to doubt her at this point. And if she goes slowly at the beginning as well, then it should be fine. ]
[ It's a dream, so Mafuyu fully expects pain to be somewhat blunted— lately, this month especially, this hasn't been the case, but pain has also become somewhat blunted after going through all the events of August and coming to realize that she'd become unnaturally strong and durable. All good things. But her confidence is something she was born with, leaping out the window without another glance back, letting her feet hit the ground, knees buckle, and rolling forward over her shoulder and back to absorb the shock of the fall instead of shattering her shins.
She picks herself off the ground like nothing happened, strides back under the window, and holds her arms up in the air like she's going to catch a package instead of a person. ]
[ The other girl makes it look so easy... even if it's a dream, she's pretty sure she can't do that. But her pride won't allow her to back down now. So, working up all of her courage, she'll hop out onto the overhang before using all of the upper body strength she has to lower herself over the edge of the overhang slowly, trying to stay just above Mafuyu's arms. Normally she'd be more flustered about someone being able to look up her skirt from that angle (she is a lady, after all), but in this situation, she has more important things to worry about.
And then, when she feels ready (and when her arms start to really hurt) she'll let go and close her eyes. Here's hoping this catching thing works, or at least that it won't hurt too badly when she does land. ]
[ Mafuyu's all but ready to yank Kotone down by the ankles for how long she takes to get good and ready, but when she finally does let go, Mafuyu catches her around the middle, stumbling back a half a pace under Kotone's weight, but doesn't drop her (though, even if she did, the drop would have been barely an inch for how short Mafuyu is).
But also catching another girl is weird and Mafuyu nearly shoves Kotone away instead of gently letting her go. ]
I think so? I dunno, usually I just kind of wake up eventually... maybe we haven't been asleep for as long as we think we have.
[ She honestly doesn't know how this all works. But for now, sticking with her co-conspirator seems like the smartest move, so she'll follow her out. ]
[ It'd probably work out best if Mafuyu pinched the both of them just for good measure, but fine, fine. She pinches herself and that seems to do the trick because the world dissolves into darkness and she wakes up on her own bed and we can end the thread here and start new things in November :D ]

[ But she's sure as hell grateful that Mafuyu does now. After that harrowing ordeal, freedom is all she wants. ]
But I'm putting my faith in you, so lead the way!

Y, you've got to be kidding, right? It's way too high up! We'll definitely get hurt if we jump down there...
[ Well, maybe not Mafuyu, after all of that. But she'll probably break a leg or two, she thinks, and not in the drama sense. ]

Yeah... I can't believe it worked! We're finally free!
[ Well, okay, they haven't left school grounds yet... but they wouldn't really be patrolling the campus to keep escaped children in, would they? ]
