Not in that sense. There's a component in peppers, called capsicum, that fight against certain receptors in your mouth, that causes the pain and the heat we associate with them. It's why you shouldn't rub your eyes after cutting them up, either.

[You can almost hear him grumbling on his end of the screen, still stuck on his initial plans for Christmas but not wanting to admit she had some good ideas, too.]

Well, what about you and Mio? Is that something you usually do with her for the holidays?

[Though SPEAK OF THE DEVIL, goddammit, he's never going to trust a word out of her mouth ever again except he probably will because he's hopeless like that]

... I see.

You really are the nicer twin, then. I'm sorry for having any initial doubts in that matter.

No, some others do too. Ignoring preservatives and other weird stuff that winds up in junk food, there's menthol in mint that gives it that cooling effect, too. Those are just a few, but there's others, I'm sure.

[Sorry, Kotone, you stumbled into a conversation with a HUGE NERD....]

Mio's mentioned something to that effect before too, but-- it's strange that you two aren't close. Is it because of her behavior? Because I wouldn't entirely blame you for that, but sisters usually don't care about that sort of thing, don't they?

[AT LEAST IN HIS EXPERIENCE WITH HIS OWN SISTERS...]
